This symposium will feature six brief conference papers exploring the transition from AI literacy to GenAI literacy across different educational levels/contexts: primary and secondary schools, higher education, teacher professional development and school leadership. Each speaker will present a literature review and/or critical discussion focused on GenAI literacy as it pertains to their specific contexts and/or educational levels, with each presentation lasting approximately 10 minutes, totaling 80 minutes.
Following the individual presentations, we will synthesize the findings from our studies in a roundtable discussion format. This segment will highlight the similarities and differences in GenAI literacy across the contexts and will take around 10 minutes. The symposium will conclude with a Q&A session, providing an opportunity for participants to engage with the presenters and discuss the implications of GenAI literacy for teaching/learning practices. This interactive format aims to foster a deeper understanding of how to effectively integrate GenAI literacy into curricula at different levels of education and contexts.
