Call for Papers

The International Conference and Summer Institute on GenAI Literacy 2025 (ICGAL 2025) is a global forum dedicated to addressing the challenges and opportunities posed by generative artificial intelligence in education, information science, health sciences, and business. 

 

This year’s theme is Multidisciplinary Research and Practice in the Age of GenAI

 

As GenAI technologies are influencing everyone, young and old, the need to develop new AI literacies - especially GenAI - specific literacies - has never been more urgent. This conference addresses the critical role of AI in education and beyond, focusing on its potential to enhance STEM and STEAM learning, foster creativity in the digital humanities, and support information and business professionals in navigating an increasingly AI-driven world.

We invite you to join the dialogue to advance interdisciplinary research and application in an AI-driven world. The ICGAL 2025 will comprise keynote speeches and invited talks by internationally renowned scholars. It also covers panels, industry demo sessions, paper presentation sessions, workshops, and doctoral student consortiums.

 

We cordially invite you to submit a paper on one of the topics listed above (feel free to suggest other related topics), and share your research and practices of AI in education, information science, health science, and/or business with our participants. Submission details are provided below, and more information is available on our website in due course.

      • Watching the sunrise - 4 am, walking along the blue Danube,

Paper/Abstract Submission

ICGAL 2025 calls for Full Short Paper in English with the below paper length. Please find the paper templates for your reference below. Accepted full papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

 

Paper/Abstract​ Categories

  • Short paper: 3 – 4 pages (2000-3000 words, excluding abstracts and references)

  • Abstract: 200-300 words

  • Poster paper: 2 – 3 pages (including references)

 

Submission Guidelines
Our conference “International Conference on GenAI Literacy (ICGAL)” welcomes submissions of short papers, posters, and abstracts for presentation. Empirical studies, work in progress, literature reviews, conceptual and/or theoretical papers are all welcome. Besides, panels and innovative product demonstrations are also welcome.

All papers must be substantiated by experimentation, simulation, theoretical development, empirical evidence, analysis, or application in practice. Submissions will be judged on such criteria as quality of content, significance for theory, relevance for practice, method, design, originality, and quality of presentation. Each accepted paper/abstract will be invited to give a presentation of 15 mins followed by a 5-mins Q&A. Each accepted panel can last for 1-1.5 hours.

  • Short papers: The maximum length for a short paper, including title, abstract (not more than 200 words), references, and appendices, is 3,000 words. All citations and references must be in APA format. Any tables, figures, or other graphics should be embedded in the document.

Short papers should be submitted via EasyChair. These submissions will undergo a peer-review process, and accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings. Submissions of short research papers (in PDF format) must adhere to the ACM Article Template and should not exceed 4 pages in length (including figures, appendices, etc.), with an unrestricted space for references. Please make sure to add Concepts and Keywords. For formatting, Word users should utilize "interm-layout.docx," while LaTeX users should use "sample-sigconf.tex."
